Since October 2015, K-eduplex has been preparing for the establishment of a new international college. Eventually, K-eduplex decided to open JIU College of Economics (Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Ekonomi JIU) for this coming winter semester, and submitted an application to KOPERTIS IV in 2016. KOPERTIS IV is located in the city of Bandung that manages all private universities in West Java (Jawa Barat). Without KOPERTIS IV’s approval and recommendation letter for establishment, DIKTI (Ministry of Higher Education) will not offer an operation permit needed by a newly established college.

On Februrary 25, 2016, K-eduplex finally received the recommendation letter from KOPERTIS IV. Thus, K-eduplex was able to submit the establishment application to DIKTI. In April, K-eduplex will be preparing the final stages of assessment and approval from DIKTI for the establishment of the new college.
